what happened during the last few minutes after they were sitting in the ambulance and the officer told them if he is that injured he won't get far-we will find him?

In the final scene, Nate is working at another hardware store providing renovation advice to a different couple. Essentially he got away, I smell a sequel.

And the boyfriend hit him square in the back with a sledgehammer.

Its like the DVR was trying to warn you NOT to watch this "cheesy" Lifetime movie - but yeah I get if you are watching the whole thing, you want to know how it ends.. This was not Lifetime's best that's for sure.
