2014?

IMDb lists an episode from 18th December 2014. Was that a pilot episode or something? Is it available to watch anywhere?

reply

IMDB is the wikipedia of movies and tv unfortunately. Anyone can add anything without any factual control. The premiere was a week ago.

There was, however another tv show called River in 2014 and I assume whoever added this just got the wrong IMDB ID.

You can correct the data by finding a press release about the show on the BBC website that clearly says the first episode ever was shown in October 2015.

Go to the River episode page,
click through to the episode page of 18th Dec 2014 and
click on edit next to Details.
In the list shown, look for Release Dates and
select delete/correct for it.
Click "Continue".
On the next page select "delete" for the Release Date of 18-12-14
then click "check this update"
On the next page, check the box "provide an explanation" underneath the Release Date.
Click "check this update" again.
You should now see a box "Explanation" to copy/paste the link to the BBC article and add a few words what it is about.
Click "check this update" again.
You will have to click "ok", "agree", "send", etc. a few times more. Complaints should be addressed to programming staff at IMDb ;-).

That was nerve wracking!

I suppose if it was simple then it would be too easy for people to really mess things up.

Yeah, I suppose the setup is part of their plan... 
