Liberals

I am sure this movie will cause liberals great pain. They can't stand to hear anything about religion.

reply

Sorry, nobody really cares. Enjoy the film. Life goes on.

reply

Wrong. I'm as liberal and atheist as they come and I thought this was a pretty good movie. The kids in particular impressed me with their acting.

There are millions upon millions of fundamental Christians in this country (especially in the middle of it), and I see no reason why there shouldn't be movies about them. I'll certainly disagree about how to interpret Anna's recovery (just because we are not smart enough to find a scientific explanation that doesn't mean there isn't one, and just because one is lucky that doesn't mean it was a result of divine intervention), but the Beams are certainly free to have their own interpretation.

I am a "classic" liberal and usually enjoy movies such as these. Religion does not always involve God. Sports teams and inanimate objects are religions to some people.

Especially since all their movies are epically tanking

Liberals? I'm liberal and enjoyed this film. I live science fiction! Star Wars, Dracula, The Wolfman, & Clash Of The Titans.
Could it be that when atheist ridicule poor religious films, you feel threatened? Because in all honesty, the wave of religious films recently made, most are just dreadful films.

reply

Trust me, liberals aren't the only ones feeling pain from this trainwreck of a movie.

reply

Too funny!^^^

I thought if there were any truly spiritual and loving persons, it would be liberals. The conservatives are the "God I thank thee that I'm not like this sinner", whereas the liberals are "God have mercy on me, for I'm a sinner".

reply

I'm not a liberal but it would be nice to wake up one day and not have religion everywhere I look.

I feel the same way when religious sports activities either preempt a TV show I wanted to watch, or cause it to be time shifted beyond the time my DVR operated.

Religious freedom in America means the government cannot use force to make you adopt any religious beliefs, nor prevent you from exercising those beliefs you may hold, if any. If there is something around you that you do not like, unless it is causing you harm, then simply ignore it. If it is causing you harm, then depending upon the circumstances report it to the police or file a civil suit.

I didn't say anybody forced anything on me. I said it would be nice not to have it shoved in my face all the time. My coworker last night decided to quote bible verses to me instead of doing his work. It's just annoying is all.
