Dude, your church has enough PR problems already. Do you really need to continue this charade?

I’m just a movie fan. And, like many movie fans, I’ll often see a movie and want to discuss it online.

I saw Going Clear a couple of months ago on a friend’s suggestion. I thought it was very well-done, so I wanted to discuss it.

I went to this board and nobody was discussing the movie. Instead, there was some troll dominating everything with the exact same message: Scientology is bad, but all religions are bad.

I can see saying that once or twice. But hundreds of times?
You claimed “I love mocking all religions,” but you weren’t posting on the Spirituality/Religion board or any faith-based movie boards. You seemed very obsessed with this board. I smelled an agenda right away.

I really don’t care what you believe. Freedom of religion and whatnot. But you know what
I absolutely hate?

Bullies.

And you’re the worst kind of bully: you try to bully people out of free speech and expressing opinions. That doesn’t seem very spiritual. And it’s really insecure.

I can certainly understand why you’d like to quash any discussion of this film. It doesn’t paint a pretty picture of your church at all.

But you have enough PR problems already. Did you really think this was a good idea? Do you even remotely realize how desperate this is?

I hope thousands of people visit this page and read every one of your unimaginative egomaniacal hate-filled rants. I hope you help sell thousands of copies of this DVD.

And if you want to dissect this sentence-by-sentence and end with three laughy faces, feel free. I won’t mind.

If a poster spends so much time doing things on the Going Clear Boards for the benefit of The Church of Scientology, we should assume that they are a Scientologist.

If a poster automatically labels all critics of Scientology as "cultists," it's very similar to L. Ron Hubbard's belief that all Scientology critics are criminals.

If a poster spends so much time "mocking all religions," and they're not a Scientologist, they would occasionally mock all religions on the Religion, Faith and Spirituality Board.

If this poster was really interested in proving that all religions are the same, this poster should be ecstatic when they find out that certain critics of Scientology aren't religious.

This poster only cares about one thing: shutting down criticism of Scientology.

They have spend more than nine months trying to make these boards about anything other than Scientology. They will report threads against Scientology. They will label ALL critics as cultists, even when they repeatedly deny being religious.

Don't try to appeal to any sort of moral character. This person has no moral character. Don't try to appeal to logic of reason. This person doesn't care about logic or reason because they get in the way of its punch line. Instead, expose these tactics for what they are: FAIR GAME TACTICS. They never defend Scientology. They always attack the critic.

Treat this person as if they're an agent of Scientology. Demonstrate how their tactics benefit Scientology. Don't let Scientology's stooge change the subject. Expose the BS religion of Scientology by demonstrating how the stooge's BS tactics come straight from L. Ron Hubbard's playbook.

good post and utterly true.. don't forget another tactic the old response of "i'm not a scientologist, but (insert comment)...

OSA (operation special affairs) is the unit of scientology that does the stalking, harassing, suing, defamation, slander and libel of ex-members or those never in who criticize it! and yes, they DO go on the internet and websites to attack, deflect and defend it...

as i posted already in this topic thread, just recently this person posted not once, but twice, a extremely libelous innuendo against me on a reply to me.. actually taking the time to find i guess on the internet someone with the same name as me who has been arrested for child abuse and posting it twice in replying back to me, insinuating this is ME! which of course it is not!...

so yes, a scientologist and even more so likely a evil OSA branch member! i've actually reported these 2 libelous postings to imdb.com and i actually think it warrants this person's membership being forever cancelled on imdb..

well said, this person "the strangeler" has actually posted not once, but TWICE, a extremely defamatory downright libelous post about me that is of course UTTERLY FALSE! AND WHAT IS IT YOU MIGHT ASK?

this person actually did i guess some internet research on my name and found someone with the same name, somewhere who has been arrested for child abuse! and posted it twice in a reply to me, using innuendo that it was ME!!!!!!!!

i've reported this post twice now and i truly think imdb.com should cancel their membership forever from this site!...

and why? you guessed it i was critical of scientology and tom cruise involvement in it...
