Oy, this movie

So, the movie in a nutshell: Bailey finds out he has inoperable cancer, and while he's on his slow march toward the afterlife, he decides it's a grand idea to set his hot wife (and cute kid) up with what may be the most boring, milquetoast, knob ever to be created for made-for-TV movies.

Scott, to his credit, does a good job and what's not to love about Courtney Ford? Still, not sure if it was the performance or the role as written, but why Bailey would set his wife up with this tool as his replacement boggles the mind.

Agreed. The whole premise about setting up your wife with a replacement was a tad hard to digest. Though I never want to be in such a situation, who her post-death hookup is would be the last thing on my mind. Honor your wife by trusting her judgment first.

And yes, the dude was a toad.
