They already admitted that she was a student there in every previous timeline, so why doesn't she go back? Are they not allowing her to, even though they let the cat out of the bag that she's supposed to be a student there?

She also realised that she learned more magic in the real world than she would at brakebills. She turns out to be a much better magician than the others in the books, and she's sort of already there in the series by now.
