If you liked Harry Potter, but didn't feel like they were doing it enough and engaging in chemical dependency then this show is for you. It's watchable, but it's not my favorite show of all time.

Better dialogue, better character development, better plot, better pacing, likeable/interesting characters...

"Every single way" is not a difficult concept to grasp.

Comparing it to Harry Potter is like comparing Game of Thrones to Narnia. The two are going for something completely different.
