Interstellar NO.1????

Before i get started let me just say that i did really love this movie and i gave it a 9 but it definitely by far did not deserve best movie of the year, regardless of how many people voted. Also yes i did completely understand this film and despite that it still had its many flaws. To say it was an excellent film or a bad film is fair enough, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but i just have no idea how it could have such a high rating considering all of the other films that came out this year. The only reasoning i can think of is that more people who loved it voiced their opinions more than those who disliked it, i dunno, what does everyone else think about this? am i alone on this one?
