The 7.4 Imdb rating is a joke

Higher than Kingdom of Heaven I don't think so.. It's 6.2 at best.

I disagree. I thought it was a very good film. Remindes me of similar films from the 80s.

finally watched the 2nd half of the movie last nite & thought it was good. I liked the court saying "No woman could become pregnant by Rape & she'd be burned alive if he'd lost" no pressure on the husband in that fight

Right? xD

still confused on who's the babysdaddy

Kingdom of Heaven? Really? You have to remember KOH has two versions, and IMDB doesn't separate scores for different version.

I just saw it for the first time and while I don't think it's as good as Kingdom of Heaven it is a pretty solid film. I think it captures the time quite well. The weakest part of the film is probably the dialogue. The dialogue seems to fit the story well but there's just not very many memorable quotes in this one but the story is pretty good and the ending is quite satisfying.

Another part that I didn't like was showing the same scenes over and over, I know Ridley Scott was presenting different perspectives and whatnot but that got a little old, the film really didn't need to be two and a half hours long, they could have done it in an hour and 45 minutes.

I mainly wanted to watch this film because I just got through watching Game of Thrones for the first time and wanted to compare it. Obviously they're a lot different but I would have to say I thought Game of Thrones was better.

At any rate, I'll give TLD a very solid 7.0 out of 10. Good movie...

It was distinctly average. It looked gorgeous, Ridley has an amazing eye for cinematic shots, the war and duel scenes were excellent and I thought Driver and Damon were decent. Comer was miscast. She's no A list actress, she's more suited to TV than movies. Some of the dialogue was poor, and I'm not sure why everyone had shining white Hollywood teeth in the 14th Century. It had the usual cliches too, like the giggling sadistic King and the "Lady Macbeth" mother-in-law from Hell.
