Look at all the people giving it s 9 and 10. This is the most rigged score on IMDb. 2000 people gave it a 9-10, that's about 70% of the votes and it's mostly by girls. Doesn't seem right.

Go look at the two lead actors and their fan base. Almost all women. Women go crazy for Manu Bennett and Larenz Tate. It's not hard to do the math.
Well, I'd rather watch Rango a thousand times over than sit with the young - teenage, I guess - girls and boys and gawk at the cute actors.
I wish this forum classified ratings by age. I was equally surprised when The Gods of Egypt got a sterling rating when every aspect of the show is disappointing at the least.

shareI have not seen it yet, wanted to see what it was about, but you got to understand this is an indie film and low budget. It is understandable that those interested would want to see it succeed. And people also need to give such films great leeway as they dont have the resources of major studios. Most indie films just dont cut it and you are interested in them for mainly other reasons. Considering the major studios spend as much as making the them on publicity and promotion it would not be surprising that they hire pros to skew the polls and public opinion. I mean they do it for everything else. The UK and US intelligence has huge budgets to make war on countries. Companies have lobbyists. Nothing you see or hear is real. It is all manipulated. Usually by special interests. Now I have a better idea of what the film is about, I need to keep all that in mind when watching it.
I think both sides here are going a little too far. Films grossing 2bil or 3 bil to me was mostly boring beyond belief. And those films are mostly the only ones I look forward to seeing. I am sure there are people who like this film, Prometheus was like crap to me, huge plot holes and other things that never made any sense but you got to see the people making stuff up to defend it. Like the director meant for us to make up the story and reason. Now given the popularity of the universe I can see a lot of passionate people debating things there. Even if neither side made much sense to me. But the film itself was interesting and not boring.
Just post your opinion.. Dont bother trying to manipulate things. That will be obvious. Now how would it look if I actually liked the film? Maybe I wont and we will see.. Another one like the walking dead.. I mean it was fine for 2 seasons.. Now in the 7th it is like people are making up stuff to justify its existence. Not because it is great but its more a wish to not have it end.
