This movie maybe doesn't deserve 1s, but it sure doesn't deserve a 7.0 (higher than Bad Boys, Bloodsport or Con Air)

Then again, why would a director take the time and effort to EXPLAIN everything in the movie. It is obvious that he isn't great at story telling, he has to add to the movie via the forums in IMDB. Its like 1 + . = 2. Thats it, the audience need to understand why the answer is 2, it's a message put in a movie. But since he knows he screwed up, he is forced to tell everyone that it's 1 + 1 = 2.
The people that claim to understand the movie say that they 'got the message' and 'appreciate the effort'. *sigh* Its like that kid that fails at everything but still gets praise from his mother.

Why should we think twice before we kill a character in a video game? The girl working at the helpdesk was supposed be a satire on helpdesks or servicedesks employees?

I think the majority or nerdy gamers wouldn't find this a very good movie, the so called game, had extremely bad graphics for a movie game and the game itself was unrealistic
also the fact the player was using what seems like a sort of playstation controller, doesn't really make it any better

shareI came here to rate the movie and laughed when I saw that the score had been gamed to over a 7. It's hilarious watching obvious shills defend the movie, checking their accounts and seeing how they were created recently for that express purpose.
The movie had an interesting gimmick that was destroyed by some terrible acting and dialogue. In particular, Kevon Stover, who reminded me of a poor man's Danny Trejo, was so cringe worthy and distracting that I was unsure whether or not he was added for comic relief. The script was rubbish and was a waste of some passable d-list actors. I'm sorry, I rated it a 3, below average.

I can't speak for others on here, but I've had an account for several years and have been coming to this board daily when I saw that some crazy foreign haters were trying to spin some conspiracies to tear this film down. Does that make me a shill? No more than it makes you a hater, but since most people who enjoy something tend not to say anything, it's up to "shills" like myself to defend the film against shameful haters who don't get it and who just want to knock independent cinema down.
I do agree that some of the supporting acting had weaker moments, but not even close to the hyperbolic degree you're mentioning. You must be using drugs when you're watching this film if you can sit there and call the acting so bad it actually ruined the film for you. Just laughable. Stick to watching hollywood films that can afford to pay big names to fill every role if you can't handle the quirks of indie cinema.
I haven't seen the movie and as such have nothing to say about the film itself, but after checking out the imdb page to see what it was all about I have to say the posts I saw by some people, containing enthusiasm far exceeding that shown for enormous blockbuster hits and classics, seems a little suspect. Then you have a particular member who would rather attack the intelligence of those that disagree with him than make a logical argument as to why they're wrong. He also happens to post in all caps. Regardless of whether he is associated with the film, he should realize his 'efforts' to support this masterpiece are doing far more harm than the 1/2/3 ratings. Based on this thread alone, my interest in seeing the film plummeted from a 6 to a 1, which is a shame because I've liked Manu in whatever I've seen him in and he was the reason i came to this page in the first place.

You chose wisely. To say this is a B movie would be a insult to "Jaws". In fact I ve seen movies from first year students that are better than this. It's better than "Planet 9" and on the same level as "Approaching the Unknown" and "Paradox" so I gave it a 2 but that isn't saying much.
The music is horrible, the acting is WWf style bad and the clichés are so numerous it's laughable.
I've been playing games since Tetris arrived at the scene and I love me some oldskool B movies like Commando ( the one where the bad guys drop dead before Arnie shoots them ) , Kickboxer or even Weird Science but this is unbearable.
I realise alot of people worked hard on this and I wish them the best, because the idea for the plot was great, but the movie is a huge disappointment. If they hadn't rigged the voting here and ended up with a 4 I would have been warned and given them the indie treatment but no way is this a 7 movie.
"Predestination" or even "Project Almanac" are far better sci-fi movies and if you would like to stay in the same genre go and check out "The Call Up" (it's still bad but Oscar material compared to this attempt )

How about explain what you didn't like about the movie rather than complain about the rating other people gave it? I'm actually watching it right now and enjoying it for what it is. Which is a fun unique action movie.
I gave 5 since the animation was way outdated and the fight scenes were annoyingly bad. The idea was the best part. The idea reminded me of eXistenZ, but eXistenZ was better.

This movie isn't as bad as people are saying, I honestly believe it's worth a 6 (and if it's your kind of movie, maybe a 7)...
The fight scenes unfortunately were horrible. Some dialogues were so stupid they made me feel embarrassed for the actors, and even more for the writer (but I see that kind of dialogue in almost every single indie movie). Some parts of the plot didn't make any sense (but that also goes for most movies...). The movie was filled with clichés, with a big part of the plot being predictable, and some scenes had extremely bad acting. But there were also great scenes and some good acting to balance.
Putting things this way, it does look bad and makes me wonder why I'd give this a 6. But the truth is, the movie has no strong point, but also nothing too horrible (except for the fight scenes). Everything was just average, and overall the movie was enjoyable.
I watched the movie knowing it was an indie movie with low budget. That makes a difference. If you are looking for a movie with amazing acting and special effects, and a deep, innovative and well executed script, this is the wrong movie.
For most people, I would never recommend this movie. But that's just because there are better options out there and nobody has time to watch everything available. The movie isn't bad.
