IMHO,the subplot with the dirty cops and level of violence they brought with them was way off, considering the rest of the movie is a zany, lighthearted hybrid of a romcom and buddy comedy.
The dirty cops should have been left on the cutting room floor; I would have given it an 8/10. As is, 6/10 seems fine.
Well, I didn't like the movie overall but I did enjoy some serious business spliced with light farce.
Might be just me but I find serious people reacting bewildered against incredible situations pretty hilarious.
It's not that well done here though, so I get your point.
