What bothered me. .....

It's been mentioned here before, but it irritated me that he didn't even TRY to prove he was innocent. Part of me started to think it was all part of a plan he had. Why wouldn't he tell his wife about the watch yet he wore it around like nothing? He didn't try to further investigate who was accusing him of sexual assault and the school just took her word for it without proof. Usually when you accuse someone of a crime, you have at least a shred of evidence to back it up. For someone who was Teacher of the Year and never been accused of a crime, you'd think they'd get a "fair trial." And why didn't anyone ever ask where her dad is?? Even dads who work out of town eventually come home or call or something. No one found that odd? And they never explained where her dad was. So many flaws, even for a lifetime movie.

He was too busy trying to get his student in bed to worry about proving his innocence,

Yeah, it didn't seem like he cared at all and it was annoying that with all the *beep* going on, he still slept with the girl...I wanted to scream at the tv, like dude, wake up! I hate how it ended too where the girl doesn't get caught and the innocent ones die..I gotta stop watching lifetime movies cuz they always end in ways that irk you

dont even get me started! I agree with everything you wrote, I myself wrote a ranting post filled with grammar and spelling errors because I was typing so fast in frustration on not only on his stupidity, but the movie not making any sense whatsoever. Usually I can let little unrealistic blips slide in a lifetime movie, but this one had way to many that it pulled me out of the storyline and I couldnt take it seriously. It quickly became a running joke of a movie, mocking it and counting the WTF moments. Holes in the plot, character flaws, storyline flaws, unrealistic, too many questions that will never get answers ,unbelievable and the terrible writing! I was taken aback at how he never tried to prove innocence, have desire to prove everyone wrong or even care to shape up. If I, as an audience member didnt see that he was innocent of sexual harrassment, or didnt buy out the diner, etc - I would of thought he was guilty. I was beginning to think he was in on the plan too so he and taran can run off happily ever after with her apparent trust fund and his wifes life insurance.I kept waiting for that sobering moment he wised up and started redeeming himself.... and kept waiting and waiting and when it was 10 minutes until the ending, I was like, ok wow they really have alot of ground to cover with his character in a short amount of time. But no, he never was a likeable character the audience could emotionally connect with or care about.

I agree with all of you. It was like these people were trying to recreate one of Alicia Sylverstone's old teenage movies, except they massively failed! I had no sympathy for the guy playing the teacher because he was such a moron! At least the guys in Alicia's movies had some depth to them, and were a hell of a lot more believable in the victim role!

Unfortunately a female can make criminal accusations that are untrue and yet the burden of proof falls on the accused. This guy though was completely blind to the fact that his troubles started when she moved in.

I stopped watching Lifetime movies a few years ago because they were just too far fetched. I watched this one because I was curious about Chris Klein (don't remember seeing him in much since American Pie movies). Well, after seeing this ridiculous movie it will be more than another few years before I watch another Lifetime movie, no matter who's in it, and no matter how bored I am.

Totally.

He was thinking with his other head.
