I think Mira Lesmana should've sticked to making kids' movies, that's her expertise!! (Angin is a kid and he's perfect!!! I love him!! Dara smiled only once in the WHOLE movie, the rest of it she's just frown/ looking gloom)
Please stay away from making something like this!! You don't understanddddddddddd what to expect from an action movie!!
What this movie lacks are:
1. Fast pace (example: Fast and Furious)
2. Blood & sense of reality (example: The Raid)
3. Really, no need to blow up the scenery because it's just a support!!
4. Good script, not awkward lines
5. I hv nothing against time lapse but - [SPOILER] to see the kid's alredy maybe 8 years old I was like, lolwut how many years have passed during Dara's training, really???
6. [SPOILER] the "redemption" Elang spoke about at the end of the movie - what kind of redemption was that?? Is that he's going to banished and journey all around Indonesia to help people in need? Well it's not like he's been living an exactly steady life anyway, he's a chief of a nomad/ exiled tribe for f's sake!
7. [SPOILER] Why cast Reza in this?? I really didn't get the feel of a villain from him throughout the movie. His expression was bland, except for when [SPOILER AGAIN] Gerhana died and THEN he showed a different (mad) expression.
8. In general, this is just NOT a well thought movie. It's like it's a game that's not yet beta-ed.
Mira Lesmana, please sticks to making kids' movie, please... stay out of this genre... you have no grasp for the concept. Do you even READ books like Kho Ping Ho's Pendekar Sakti (lakon: Bu Pun Su), or Naga Sasra Sabuk Inten (lakon: Mahesa Jenar) and all others epic story with epic plot??
