... so over-the-top. Playing in a park? It worked in THIRTEEN because the character in that movie was (of course) 13. These characters were almost 18. Also, the viewers know that ASHLEY was a virgin before joining the business, but not if the other ones were, so the "Loss of inocence" theme doesn't really aply.

Um...if you watch the opening, the one girl is taking photos of her friends on the swings because she obviously wants to be a photographer. Yes, high school girls would and actually do do fun things like this with their best friends.

I know what it meant inside the movie's universe, but it was still trying to represent the girls' loss of innocence.

"loss of innocence" doesn't necessarily have to equate with "loss of virginity". They all lost their innocence when they engaged in the ring. And even though Ashley had slept with Mark on their campus visit, at that point, Ashley wasn't fully aware that she was in fact prostituting herself for tuition.
