Could Ashley have turned the tables on Harper?

I wasn't paying close attention because I was mostly watching Harper's scenes (Ashley Dulaney from Justified) and there weren't many scenes with her. Anyway, I may be way off, but didn't the lead character, Ashley, know that Harper's uncle was somewhat involved in this scandal? Even if he wasn't directly involved, could Ashley have counter-threatened Harper by saying she (Ashley) was going to tell everyone what her uncle was up to?

Anyway, I know the movie sucks, but maybe it may have sucked a little less if Harper was called out on a few things. Her uncle being involved (maybe?) is one of them. The other thing was that Pressman said something about how they wanted to admit "honorable" students. It was not honorable the way Harper handled the scandal. She tried to blackmail Ashley. She could've handled the scandal more privately so that there was less of an ordeal for the younger children whose fathers were involved. If I were one of the admissions people at Pressman, I wouldn't want someone like Harper at my facility, because there's a risk of her causing an unnecessary media circus again like she did before for her own selfish purposes.

I wish something bad would have happened to Harper. With all the high school kids having sex I'm less bothered by them taking money than by the older men taking advantage of them. I don't think they deserved to have their futures ruined over it. I mean, the main girl couldn't go to college because of sleeping with two men, one was for money? Seriously?? way worse things to be concerned about.

It weakens us to not give our enemies the respect they deserve...

I don't think she would have given any hoots because she would have then outed Ashley.

Harper was the true villain of the movie and I wished she didn't get into Pressman. She is not talented and truly evil. What goes around comes around.

I thought Ash was gonna see her in the coffee shop and throw coffee in her face.

I thought Ashley should have taken her down somehow. That isn't right that Harper got into that school by outing them. But did Harper in fact out them? I don't know if they ever made that clear.

No Harper was 2nd in the class and she was by all accounts an outstanding student. It wasn't her fault that her uncle was a pervert so that can't be held against her.

I would've wanted to break Harper's face into so many pieces she wouldn't have been able to attend Pressman. The better revenge would be to lie, and have all my friends say she was hooking too. No way was she gonna waltz off into the sunset and live happily ever after.
