If the shows and movies never crossover

Should Netflix cast there own Peter Parker (since he has many great stories with daredevil , Luke cage , punisher etc.) he doesn't even need his own show . Just show up in others. Would love to see the death of jean dewolff become a reality . Who knows maybe the shows and movies will one day crossover

Spider-Man still has rights with Sony. I don't think they can legally do anything TV show related with him.

No all tv show rights are with marvel

Right but Sony still likely has some say in whether or not Spider-Man can show up on TV.

I read that the live action rights are with marvel . Marvel could say we have the rights we do what we want . Unless Sony is way to possessive which they could be

Even if netflix characters never show up in the movies or no movie characters show up in the tv shows, that doesn't mean that the Netflix shows aren't still officially part of MCU canon. They are. They still take place in the same connected universe. So long as they remain that way, they won't bring in another iteration of Peter Parker to the tv shows. Not to mention, even if Marvel does have live-action tv rights to the character (it's not quite clear if they do from what I've been able to find online), Sony could see it as a breech of good-faith/see it as Marvel trying to undermine them and it could put their deal that allows Spider-Man to be a part of the MCU at risk.

Agent Hill: ...Then aliens invaded New York and were beaten back, by among others, a giant green monster, a costumed hero from the 40's.... and a god.

Agent Ward: I don't think Thor is technically a god.

Hill: Well...you haven't been near his arms.

Some good responses already but I'll add my 2 cents:

The closest they might come to this would be add another "Spider-Verse" character to Netflix as sort of a stand-in for some possible story lines. Obviously the best case scenario for uber fans would be to have Holland play Parker/Spidey, but if they really just want a wall-crawler on Netflix (and if Sony's cool with it - regardless of the fine print they'd want to keep a good relationship with Sony) they could add Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen or some other character.

I know that doesn't work well for many of the stories that require it be Parker rather than just some Spider-Man "ish" character, but it's another option.

The "when will they crossover" discuss has been beaten to death on these boards so won't bother with all that.

Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)
