Wow!!! That finale!

Absolutely fantastic.

So Amber has the gift too, she is also an Outcast. Really cool, I was hoping that would happen. And Wrenn Schmidt's acting was AMAZING! She was super *beep* creepy, it was so amazing. Thank god Aaron is gone too, i *beep* hated that kid. But now the Rev will have to hide that big secret since he's banging the kids mom lol.

The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that after Kyle rescued Amber and Holly, he just left them with a stranger (the Chiefs wife) what if she was/turned possessed too?? I would've assumed with how protective Kyle is that he'd want them to stay close by with him or the Rev but then I guess with the kids they couldn't look for Megan. Just seemed sorta out of character imo.

And the ending was brilliant. I am SO EXCITED for season 2! I didn't realise there were so many possessed people already... Super creepy ending but made me hyped for next season. Here's hoping we find out what these creatures are finally, and what they need Kyle for.

Overall, super impressed with the show. The pacing is perfect imo, just the right amount of creepiness, excellent characters and actors. Can't wait to see where the story goes.

WTF? Did we watch the same thing? It was complete garbage. A terrible way to "end" the season. Just like in the beginning of the show it ends where it began. It literally got nowhere with *10* episodes. I wasn't joking this show had content for ~2 hours, everything else was just painful filler material to cover 10 episodes.

This show could have been amazing yet they dragged it along. Why am I still watching it - that's the real question here. It's because the show HAS/HAD potential to actually become something. With this finale they proved me right, they got nothing. We're the victim here.

I mean I really enjoyed it. Idk what to tell you. I personally feel like it got pretty far in the 10 eps. A lot of it was character building which I loved because it helps you to feel more connected and care about the characters. It sucks that you're not enjoying it, but maybe it's just not for you. At least you gave it an entire season which is more than many people. Maybe the second season will change your mind if you decide to stick around when the new season starts up.

reply

Yeah, we get it. You don't like the show.

Hail to the king, baby.

Wow - really? You don't really like TV then. This is called character development...

Jesus Christ don't you have an off button on your t.v ? how can anyone complain that much & have watched the entire season ???

reply

The had a gun to my head and forced me to watch it.

Huldu, if you don't like the show then stop watching and complaining about it. I've read the comics and really enjoy the show because of the character interactions and acting. If you want quick fulfillment, action and no plot to watch while eating popcorn, I suggest something like Z-Nation.

Good to know this red head prick kid burned in the house of evil.
Damn this pesky kid was more harmful than demons themselves.

Amber touched hands with the chief's wife, so I think she's clear but she does the role of Ogden's wife in the comics, so maybe she have/will have a part on it.

The season finally was way better than the comics. Amazing episode, deserves at least a 9.5.

I agree about the finale it was fantastic!! Only thing the Rev. will have to worry about is he threw his lighter in so the fire would start, that would be evidence against him especially if it was a lighter w/his name initials on it or somebody finds out it was his. Believe it or not sometimes the lighters especially those kind don't burn up so I hoping I'm wrong and nobody realizes the lighter. I can't wait for 2nd season either, show is slow paced but I don't mind b/c a lot of other shows jump in too fast and I love how we find out Amber is like her father as well. This is a different kind of show like no others so that's why I like it so much.

I thought the same thing. He smokes, so why didn't he just use a cigarette? Less damning.

I also can't wait for the 2nd season.

Aren't cigs extinguished when they hit gasoline?

reply

yes, they are.

I have no idea.

Never started a fire before with gasoline or anything else...

If that's true, well, you learn something new everyday.

I agree! That gas station scene during broad daylight sent chills down my spine. His sister was the scariest, creepist transformation yet.

Can't wait for season 2!

Yes that gas station scene was ssoooo creepy! I loved the way the woman who plays Megan performed the character's transformation, she reminded me of Sissy Spacek in Carrie with those eyes and that stare!

And I agree, I can't wait for season 2 either!

Yep, two great moments which for a change are not just in there for the sake of having some great moment but actually tell a part of the story. But that does not really make a great finale. There was no gravitation in the last few episodes. Everything just happened. I the finale as well.

If the situation was supposed to appear real, the characters should have acted real, protagonists as well as antagonists. But that is not the case. Both camps stand still until someone changes. At that point there could be an interesting race to reach the victim first, had the show bothered to build up to that. But instead we get that race in the shape of more random events. Someone telling that the race is on during the race because he got the idea like some brainfart, after not thinking about the invasion at all for two episodes (because, you know, body snatchers are so common that one just falls back into daily routine after having killed two or three of them).

It is still a weak 7 in my book, but I hope that the next season gets better storytellingwise and does not waste the potential (which was clearly there and visible in the pilot) like this season did.

I can't help but wonder, but if Religion/space aliens and any form of the supernatural were actually real. Would we still make tv shows like this?

reply

I can't help but wonder at what ate your brain. Apparently, you've never watched regular television, medical or court dramas, or anything else for that matter..

reply

If Amber is an outcast, why did not she expel the demon in her mother when she tried to suffocate her?
That's incoherent for me.

reply

Dunno, maybe they have to touch their head?

reply

The face, actually. BUT who knows for sure, maybe the power manifested itself when she reached a certain age and/or got stressed/agitated? Neat twist, though.
