Ho Hum

If you love cliched jump scares then this is the movie for you.
Me? I was bored stupid after 6 minutes and walked out. I felt like I would have already seen the rest of the movie many, many times before, and decided to cut my losses.

reply

Your loss. The movie is very good.

Jump scares, uh really??
It's not a jump scare when the film is showing you that it's going to happen.

A jump scare is where the scene and music is quiet, and all of a sudden something happens
followed by a music cue. But, for example, if we see a cat right behind the person in the movie
we know that cat is going to jump at the person and frighten her. It's not the films fault if you
simply wern't paying attention and were frightened. In fact not one scare in this movie wasn't
led up to beforehand.

I knew for a fact that there would be at least one person that was going to complain about
it. IDK why all of the sudden horror movies aren't allowed to have jump scares anyway. They've
been around forever. But now all of the sudden they get shamed. I think people are just a
bunch of wusses nowadays and just don't like to get caught "sleeping on the job" so to speak.

Jump Scares are an overused cliché - and it's been a long time since they were "scary". Movies made by second-rate directors and lousy film companies are often filled with clichés and ideas stolen from better films, because they lack the imagination and talent to come up with something new - they just keep on recycling the same ol' crap. Stuff 'em all, I say.
