Who was filming Kurt and Courtney in the Apartment?

Who was this person? The scenes where K and C were shaving, when C was riding K while banging a guitar, etc. The doc didn't make it clear who this person was and what their relationship to K & C was.

Eric Erlandson, the guitarist for Hole. He was close friends with both of them at the time.

You can hear them talk to him and mention his name and you can hear him talk at times and it sounds like Erik.

These scenes are among the best scenes in the documentary. I was laughing as I watched them. Not because it was particularly funny, but it was just so crazy.
