Why no interviews with Dave Grohl in this movie

Why was there no interview with Dave Grohl or Chad Channing or Jason Everman or Pat Smear in this film? It would have been nice to have heard there side of the story.

Yeah it's a shame. Still a fantastic film though. Definitely the most impactful and cinematic doc on him I've seen so far.
