Why are people struggling with the ending?

It was all explained and far more than most other series like this.

'Well I've got two words for you - STFU'

You gotta be kidding, right? Or is this post just clickbait? The entire first season just popped up on Amazon Prime in the U.S., so I binged it all. Nothing could be farther from the truth about the last episode -- it explained virtually nothing! To be honest, since about episode 4, I watched feeling there was no way all this could possibly be resolved in a 6 part mini-series and that they were always aiming for at least another season.

------ Spoiler Alert! -----

If the show is cancelled it's a major bummer for any who spent time on it, because all we really found out is that there are a duplicate Anna and Gillian. Is one really human and the other not, are they human clones or alien and which is the original or "real" version of each? No answers to these were given. We know there is a big pulsating rust colored ball with spires, but it's existence is all we know about it. We saw that newly "infected" townspeople may be connected to strange natural phenomenon happening to moths that surround a church. And lastly, Renae left a note claiming she killed Chloe, but does she just think she did or is she just saying this? After all, is she someone who could have carried a body from Mother whatever's house all the way to the mill *and* dropped whole logs on it? Nope, no real answers here either. Oh yeah, I forgot, do Dutch and Fergus live or die? Who could possibly care to know that.

So really, if you think "It was all explained and far more than most other series like this", I think you are a vast majority of one.

.
I think the new Adam is also a clone (no injury, and doesn't seem to know anybody who tries to hug or talk to him), and the second of Anna's two mothers -- one in the piggery, and one in the hospital.

Also, if there's a s2, the Eliza who came out of the other end of the tunnel may be a clone rather than the original(?) Or vice versa?.

Not that I 'm going to watch s2 LOL.

I have to agree with you. Nothing was explained. Only more questions.

I didn't even understand the ending. I had to come here to read about the clon theory. and I still don't get what's wrong with the moss, the moths, the two moons, the aliens and the lights in the forest, the clones... god, I don't think I'll watch a 2nd season, I barely could finish season 1, it took me several weeks.
