Questions about the movie....

A) Why was the truck towing that orange car the entire movie? What was the point?
B) If the car had a point to be towed why was it abandoned by the road needlessly, making it point less?
C) Why didnt the Mustang pass the truck long ago and just speed by it numerous times?
D) What are the odds the truck kept catching up to them when the Mustang is so much more powerful?
E) Can a truck like that backup without a noise?
F) How can a police officer not notice that a 20 ton truck is behind him going at a high rate of speed to be hit off the side of a road? Yah right are you serious?

It's so unbelievable that a rig would keep up with a 5.0 on the back roads. And you're right, the truck could of drop the car it was towing, it was pointless to have it.

This is a complete ripoff of Duel 1971. Same exact plot.

mrchanmanx,

They also needed gas? That was the reason they stopped the first time and when they saw the tow truck driver, they decided to purchase gas at the next station. When did they ever purchase gas? ⛽ 

They also locked the car doors in anticipation of the truck hitting their car. Who knew that locking your doors is better than putting your seat belt on or swerving out the way.

l'll get my cape...
..I wanna put dem paws on him. Dig that..

They purchased gas at the first station; it was oil that they were holding off on getting. That they didn't get it is the reason the Mustang started to break down at the end.

What are you talking about dude?

reply

A) He was towing the orange car because, as we see from the final scene, he kills people on the road and then collects their cars.
B-F) Good questions.
