Cancelled :(

This is being reported from Broadcast -

"Broadcast is reporting the news that "the production team on the 10-part ITV Studios show have been told that there will be no second series, despite some pre-production work being done in preperation for a recommission."

What a shame, it was far from perfect but the small problems could have been ironed out in a second series. I enjoyed it, and the cast were excellent. Shame to see it go

That God this utter tripe is finished.
A moving pictorial comic for the simple minded moronic ibercills.
At last common sense has prevailed.
It murdered a classic novel .
This should never have escaped the Commissioning office waste bin.
Plus it relied on far too much CGI and hardly any real acting.
Seen better shows put on by the retarded.

You might want to remove your own head from your own behind one day. just because you didn't like the show, which is obvious, there's no need to call people names that may actually like it.

reply

If you're going to insult people, at least learn how to spell imbecile.

reply

It was clearly too challenging for some which is a shame. There were warnings about content which parents chose to ignore and then felt the need to complain about. My kids loved it and I thought it was great to see a bold interpretation of a classic. No doubt we will be rewarded with more formulaic drivel that will appease those sofa dwellers for whom change is the scariest concept.

reply

Well that sucks, it was the only reason to watch ITV

reply

For me the same, it was also the only reason that i watch ITV.

I gone miss this TV Show, i liked it very much.

reply

There is always Beowulf.

It's that man again!!

reply

Is that Beowulf return to the shieldlands? I might watch itv then

reply

It needs all the viewers it can muster.

It's that man again!!

reply

Well it saves me "acquiring" it, knowing its on Sunday and there's bugger all else on anyway

reply

Beowulf return to the shieldlands is not a good TV show, it only gets 5,6 stars, and that means it's not a great tv show, so no i am not wasting my time with that TV Show.

I just wanted a Season 2 of Jekyll & Hyde.

reply

So glad! Making way for something good to come along perhaps.

That's a shame. I enjoyed it. Of course, it wasn't perfect, but, they could have sorted the problems out and it was interesting enough. Time for more reality shows and soaps I guess

reply

Why wast your time with reality shows and soaps, when there are other great TV Shows out there?

Like Heroes Reborn, The Blacklist, Elementary, iZombie, The Expanse, The Shannara Chronicles, Marvel's Agent Carter, Supernatural, The X-Files 2016, The Magicians, Grimm, and MUCH much more.

reply

I don't bother with soaps / reality shows if I can help it and these all sound like great shows, but, unfortunately, you need Sky / Netflix / Now TV / subscription channels for most of them and not every one has them

reply

To all those that complained, thanks a lot, you're all pathetic, if you didn't want to watch just find something else and don't ruin it for those who enjoyed it and we're looking forward to season 2.

reply

But there won't be a season 2. Hence the thread title.

And those who complained didn't do it because they didn't want to watch, but because when they did watch they found the content inappropriate for family viewing which is at that time slot. They couldn't have anticipated that.

The complaints weren't to cancel the show but to move it to a more appropriate time. The show was actually cancelled due to nose-diving ratings, which wasn't due to complaints about its inapproprate time slot.

reply

I'm sorry we won't get a series 2 as it was intriguing. I'm not sure about Beowulf yet

reply

ITV really screwed up.
Wrong time slot, so after the complaints instead of moving the time slot and re-edit the show to remove the violence... no wonder people who carried on watching thought it was crap.. it was edited to death and new footage spliced in and extended.

Then they have the cheek to cancel it?

Why the hell didn't they just change the dam time slot and leave the show as it was?
In fact, who thought it was a good idea to put it on a 6.30pm in the first place... idiots.

Pity, they had somethings pretty good and entertaining, i was also half hoping for a cross over with their new Frankenstein show.
