Katey Sagal: Good actor, TERRIBLE ACCENT!

As a founding member of the Kurt Sutter Repertory Company, Katey has acting chops, but taking that juicy role did not DEMAND an accent, right? I mean, it's as bad as Kevin Costner is Robin Hood!

Sutter should have consented to allowing zero accent and let the viewers imagine one, rather than making Sagal contrive the worst accent in film.

The accent is distracting and says, in effect, "look! This is ONLY a television series. It's only make believe!"

Lol I just finished the series and I thought the same thing whenever I'd hear her speak.

Although, not nearly as bad as Costner's Robin Hood. From what I recall (and haven't seen it since it came out) he would slip back and forth between a really bad English accent and his normal American sounding voice.

Definitely agree! Only reason I began show was for Katey! Sometimes she
sounds Slavic; others, Scandinavian...sigh... But what annoyed me more
was hearing 'Edward II' & 'Piers Gaveston' speaking with 'French'
accents... at Windsor Castle!!! (Though Edward married a Frenchwoman,
Norman ancestry aside, they both were ENGLISH).
They should have all just been natural, as "Reign", etc., do.
Historical fiction is one thing, but... one expects better from
Katey & Kurt!
