Just finished - spoilers

Finished watching this on Hulu today. Overall I liked it despite its flaws. It felt like a male soap opera many times with the over acting. Like if anyone remembers Calculon from Futurama that's what the main character reminded me of many, many times lol and the cheesy looks he'd give made me laugh. Like the last episode when Cormac was chasing Luca with a sword out of sight he took a few seconds to give one of those looks before running after them.

And while I'm sure when he caught up he would be relieved Luca was ok but would he REALLY just look at Cormac as he ran away? I mean, I get that's most likely what would lead to the story for season two, it's just not believable, to me, that he wouldn't have chased after Cormac after he kidnapped Luca, held him for days and then tried to kill him. It must be obvious to any of them that none of them could survive because if they told their people much more than two legions would come after them.

But again, it most likely happened to set up the conflict for the next season.

When the bandits attacked them at the coves and the Templar went to fight.....so there's a quick scene of him shrugging his shoulders to throw off us cloak, ready to do battle and then.....by the end of that part, talk about anti-climactic lol

What was the point in Annora and the Templar being the ones who killed Wilkin's wife? So he'd fight the looming threat of the Archdeacon? It seems odd for her to take those actions given who she was revealed to be at the end.

And his name, Wilkin Brattle lol every time I heard it I thought Milton Bradley.

But overall I did enjoy it and wish there was a second season coming

Doh, can't find an edit option

I meant it doesn't seem believable to me that Cormac would have a hand in kidnapping Luca, holding him for days, try to kill him and Wilkin would chase after them only to watch Cormac run away. It seems more believable he'd do what he did, hug him and ask if he's ok, but then as he saw an injured Cormac running away he'd chase him down.

And what does anyone think about Ashe killing that twin and cutting her body up? Where do you think they were going with that? I'm guessing when he disappeared for a few days, saying he went to get his sheep, and they found that mutilated body it was him, too? I had thought it was the Archdeacon at first but after seeing he killed and mutilated the twin I guess it was him.

Yes. That part with the Templar made no sense and was an utterly anti-climatic indeed.
