Back in 2005, I was so excited about The Myth with a story having elements from Indian culture and also having Jackie Chan fight Indian martial artists. But it turned out to be a badly written film. Hope we get to see a better film with a decent plot and crazy action sequences this time. I also look forward to a better portrayal of India and her culture.

I have doubts about the script. As you say, The Myth was very disappointing.
Hoping more adventure approach like Indiana Jones
I hope so too. When I first heard about The Myth I was hoping it would be like the Armour of God series but sadly it wasn't. The historical scenes just didn't work at all and there wasn't enough adventure to the story.
Sadly when Jackie made the third Armour of God film, Chinese Zodiac, it wasn't particularly good either but at least it was better than The Myth.
Hopefully Kung Fu Yoga will be an improvement on both of these films but the plot description isn't promising. I suspect it will have a convaluted story and with Jackie not so spritely anymore, the action will likely disappoint or involve to much stunt doubling or wire work.

shareShort answer: no. It'll probably be even worse than the Myth, because Jackie is older. That best case scenario is that it'll be on the same level overall. And that's bad enough.
Jackie loves to make the same mistakes over and over again. Working with people who has already proved themselves to be incompetent, faking the action scenes the same way, making three bad movies instead of taking more time to do a good one etc.
saw the trailer of the movie recently. Very VERY disappointed. Seems like this movie will make The Myth look way better.
