My Five Nights at Freddy's Mega-Theory

Around 1973 the first location, FredBear's Family Diner, is opened. It has just one mascot, FredBear, aka Golden Freddy. It is not an animatronic, but rather a guy in a costume. It is here where the Purple Man kills the child that goes on to possess the Marionette, as seen in the 'Give Cake' minigame in FNAF 2. The place closes after this.

Around 1977 a second location is opened, called FredBear's Family Diner. The Purple Man does nothing here. Instead, person after person is getting killed by the 'springlock' in the FredBear/Golden Freddy suit. Eventually, after trying to cover up numerous deaths of people playing FredBear/Goldie, they decide to sell the company. This is supported by the recorded messages of the first Phone Guy in FNAF 3. Obviously, since they're "prehistoric", it means that at one point they were not animatronics but rather people in suits. And - correct me if I'm wrong - I don't think Phone Guy actually says they are scaring people. The recorded messages from Nights 2-5 I think are from the second location.

The third location is opened between 1980-1983 and is called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. They are now using animatronics and the four mascots are Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. This is where the Purple Man returns, wears the Golden Freddy suit, kills the five children in the back room, and builds Spring Trap. He kills the children and uses parts from Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy to build Spring Trap. This is seen in the main mini games in FNAF 3. (Some people say that he used Spring Trap to use the children, however this doesn't make sense because the children were dead before he started to build Spring Trap.) He then is killed by the Marionette into the Spring Trap suit and later possesses it in FNAF 3.

The fourth location opened in 1987 and is where FNAF 2 takes place. It features the Toy animatrpnics, Balloon Boy, etc. The reason the old animatronics are so torn up is because pieces have been used to make Spring Trap (Bonnie's face, Chica's hands, and pieces from Freddy, Foxy and Golden Freddy), who is in the back room, but not active. Then, you know how on the third night, Phone Guy is all nervous because 'someone took a suit from the back'? Well, someone else took the Golden Freddy suit and killed five more children, stuffing there bodies into the toy animatronics. This new killer is the original Purple Man's son, aka Phone Guy. And, on night 7, when you beat it, it says you're fired and your name is Fritz Smith. This is a different name than on the Night 5 and 6, Jeremy Fitzgerald. This is because Night 7 takes place the week before most of the game, and Fritz Smith is the Phone Guy. Smith is fired for 'tampering with animatronics'. He had been messing with the facial recognition system so they wouldn't call the cops. This also why the cops don't show up when they attack you during the rest of the game.

Then, in 1993, the fifth location opens where FNAF 1 takes place. It's barely open for about 5-10 years before it mysteriously burns to the ground. Spring Trap, the Marionette and the toy animatronics are there, in the back room.

Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction is the sixth and final location and opened in 2023. Spring Trap is finally active because the Marionette doesn't have total power anymore, since he and the others burned in the previous fire (which is why they all look black and scorched). Then, the final location burns as well, but Spring Trap somehow survived, as seen when the image on the newspaper at the end of Night 6 is brightened. All of the children's souls have been freed - but Spring Trap and the Marionette still exist. And, possibly, Golden Freddy.

Huh. Intresting.

Now here's what REALLY happened:

The Purple Man's first murder was committed outside Fredbear's Family Diner. The ghost of that child went on to possess the puppet.

Some time after the restaurant was bought and turned into Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, the Missing Children Incident occured. Purple Man, wearing a Golden Freddy outfit lured five children into a back room and murdered them. In order to "save them", the Puppet "gave life" and stuffed the bodies into the suits which their spirits possessed. Purple Man disappears after that. According to my head canon it's because he goes to prison for an unrelated crime and that's why the killings stop.

In 1987, The second Freddy Fazbear's is closed, but not before one final birthday party where former night watchman Jeremy Fitzgerald is injured in the legendary 'Bite of '87'. For budgetary reasons, the high tech 'Toy' animatronics are retired and dismantled to be replaced by the older ones, repaired and repurposed for use in a new restaurant.

In 1993, the events of Mike Schmidt's brief tenure occur. Phone Guy is killed and the restaurant is closed. Some time later after the restaurant is boarded up and abandoned, the Purple Man is paroled (again, head canon) and returns to finish what he started. By hiding in the secret room where neither cameras or animatronics can go, he lures the animatronics out one by one and smashes them. Now freed, the ghosts of the five children confront him in the secret room where he hides in an early Springtrap version of Bonnie. The suit malfunctions and it kills him and his spirit possesses his new tomb of metal and polyester, damning Purple Man to the same fate he left his victims to. The children, at last, have their revenge. Regardless of the ending you get, the place burns down. The bizarre events and happenings surrounding Freddy Fazbear's fade into urban legends that become the basis for the horror attraction known as...

Fazbear's Fright. Where the events of FNAF 3 happen.

Then why do the main mini games in FNAF 3 not look like the first restaurant? There is no birthday room or anything and Foxy is not in his right place. I also don't remember seeing a kitchen or a bathroom. And why would Purple Man tear them all apart instead of just zapping them in the 'Save Them' minigame in FNAF 2? And, most importantly, if the FNAF 2 location is really the second one, then where did Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy come from? I thought that FredBear/Golden Freddy was the first animatronic. And why do they look so torn down? Animatronic suits don't rot. It only makes sense that they were dismantled to make Spring Trap and then put back together but with missing pieces.

Five nights at Freddie's 2 is a prequel to the five night at Freddie's. The second location (After the first child is murdered but before 1987)is where Golden Freddie and Golden Bonnie/Springtrap are introduced with people being able to be inside the costumes or the animatronics entertain children on stage. When Purple Guy lures the animatronics to the safe room (which they are unable to enter)the golden Freddie suit is seen as Purple which indicates to the animatronics their is an employee inside the suit. That is why they follow it. Then he dismantles them outside the safe room. Which unbeknownst to Purple Guy unleashes/frees the trapped souls of his victims. Most of the mini games take place in the restaurant of 1993 which lines up with the maps and cameras of the first game. (Where he lures them away) Also I would like to note that The Puppet was trying to help the children when he stuffed their bodies/souls into the suits. As the Puppet he was stuck up by the prize counter all day and saw how delighted children were by getting presents or prizes from the counter. When he finds their bodies he tried giving them gifts to make them happy before realizing they were dead. So he gives them life anew inside the suits so they can get their revenge and protect others from suffering the same fate.

I know FNaF2 is a prequel to FNaF1. I know the Puppet was trying to help the children when he stuffed them into the suits. But where did the withered animatronics in FNaF2 come from if, as you said, the location before the one in 2 featured Golden Freddy/Fredbear and SpringTrap?
