Awful, awful, awful.

Just seen at EIFF.

Could scarcely believe how bad it was.

Avoid.

reply

I agree, it's dreadful.

Currently has 10/10 from 30% of respondents in its user ratings, a higher percentage than 'The Silence of the Lambs'...

If you're going to manipulate the ratings, maybe be a tad more subtle? You'll soon run out of people who worked on the film to give it a '10'.

The majority of the positive user reviews come from accounts where their review of TWK is their only contribution, and were so moved by the film that they opened an IMDb account specially for the occasion. Bless!

Really rather sad that you have to astroturf a film because it's so bad...

reply

What is funny about the astroturfing, indeed deeply ironic, is it itself reflects the groupthink and falseness of socialist state that the novel (which is much better than the film) is critiquing!

reply

Irony that goes off the scale.

Luckily, this film has sunk without trace.

Thank God I never paid to get in to see this crap.

reply

I must have watched a different movie. My suggestion to the posters above is that they stick to Star Wars and other adolescent rubbish and leave the serious films to adults.

reply

Fine maybe youre right about Star Wars and adolescent rubbish but this is a serious film for adults thats really not very good..

Nee ta ma duh tyen-shia suo-yo duh run doh gai si

reply

yeah, i didn't love it, but it wasn't incredibly bad or anything. i'd say 6/10 is about right.

i was expecting something a little larger in scope (as in, following the main character as he grows up).

reply

I thought it was a great film, if anything I wanted it to carry on and expand on the story. 8 out of 10 for me.

reply

Just seen it at home.

Surprised me how good it was.

See it.
