Bicycle Thieves (1948)

I cannot be the only one who see the similarities between this and the bicycle thieves 1948, can I? I liked this film (6/10), but love the bicycle thieves (1948) (10/10) and would put it in my top 100 films, just seems strange to be watching and reading reviews about this film without any acknowledgement.
