SWC is gone?

Now that she's starring in the "Prison Break" reboot, she can't do two series, can she?

No loss. Didn't like her character much. PITA.

reply

Nah, Prison Break's new season is a 9 episodes event, it's all been filmed already. She's gonna be 100% available when it comes (if it comes) the time to film Colony's season 3.

reply

She ruined Prison Break and The Walking Dead when she was on. Maybe she gets eaten by the aliens in Season 3.

reply

Huh? How did she ruin Prison Break? OR The Walking Dead, for that matter?

reply

IMO she seems to take over scenes. Not always a bad thing, but over time, the directors let her do it more and more until it affects the writing.

reply

Poor Whori, so much hate.

reply

funny cause she was (and is) a total fan favorite in Prison Break.

Fans would lose the Katie Bowman "I did it for my family" drinking game.

A lot of fans just can't seem to get past Lori Grimes. Katie Bowman is not Lori Grimes. A lot of this series is an exploration of what Americans do when they're conquered by a superior foe. Do we totally capitulate, look the other way or down at our feet while innocent people are arrested and dragged off to their deaths, in order to buy ourselves safety for today? Do we actively collaborate so the occupiers consider us "one of theirs"? Is that really the best thing to do for your family - ensure they'll survive the day but have a bad (possibly brief) future? And it turns out Katie was right to make most of the choices she did. Their "colony" is nothing but a massive version of Auschwitz or Dachau. The inmates just don't realize it. They think if they behave themselves, they're actually going to live.

There are no good or simple choices in this world and the writers are very much conscious of that. No matter what you decide for yourself, other people will pay for your mistakes. That's the kind of environment this is. People who lived under the Nazis during WWII faced similar dilemmas. We celebrate those who resisted, or took the risk of hiding people from the regime, but don't ever think that was an easy choice or that the ones who made it - and their families - often didn't pay a price. Colony takes things to the next level. If people collectively make the wrong choices, there may not be any future generations to condemn them for it.
