7/10: Slow & fresh docu. that shows both reality and propaganda clearly

7/10

In short/long:
Doesn't take a clear side and lets several not so straight forward characters on both sides speak to illustrate the ongoing propaganda war on both sides (intentionally or unintentionally). The dynamic of the docu is quite good, though alot of edits have been made so the reliability of the reflection the viewer gets could be questioned.
Regarding cinematography it is what to be exspected, possibly slightly over, the lack of streetnoise and ambience as background could have been a good tool to make it's sound stand out - North Korea doesn't sound the same as the Keynesian and free trade in all areas over all other values (Friedman) societies.

Pro's
• Fresh angle (in todays propaganda/programming era)

Con's
• Higher specificity of information (ex: key dates) would have been nice
• Any insight into the economical model (as to in what proportion what taxes are spent to would have been nice - I understand the hardship information like that would possibly require, that does however not make me miss it)

End notes:
It shows both sides as hypocrites which is a fresh and somewhat original take in the modern era of documentaries (post 2000). Even if it isn't unbiased completely it atleast seemingly has been made with the effort to be.

Ignorance is only a bliss if you haven't reached awareness.
My imdb posts are getting altered.
