I can't believe so many critics are bashing it.

I watched the first two episodes and I was laughing consistently. The line after he collapses where he said 'I can confirm there is dancing in heaven' had me in stitches. I know comedy is very subjective but to say this show has poor writing and no laughs is a flat out lie. It seems like a lot of the comedy has flown over the heads of these critics.

I have a particular set of skills. And they all involve antagonising folk.

I loved the Oliver Twist line after he snorted the blow. Awesome delivery and timing. This show has superb writing.

Totally agree with both of you. It is inventive and hysterical.

I just discovered this tonight -- finishing up Season 1 now. Hilarious! So well-written, great timing, completely original -- fantastic performances all around.

It's always such a joy and surprise to find an intelligent, hilarious, well-crafted, good-hearted piece of pop art of any genre.

Thanks, Starz, Jonathan Ames, Patrick Stewart, et al. for taking a risk on such a high-quality series!

It's also a show I like very much. I enjoyed all the episodes to a degree and it's nice to see this side of Patrick Stewart, and the supporting cast add quite a bit. I am interested to know when season 2 will start since I haven't heard much about it, which is weird because season 1 was pretty heavily advertised.
