.....this role was meant for Eddie Murphy. Such a great performance from an actor who is going to grow into more dramatic movies that I look forward to seeing in the very near future. I have grown up watching Eddie Murphy movies - with plenty movies that were disappointing to say the least. But after a four year hiatus, this movie should rejuvenate his career once again. Awesome, awesome work!!
shareSame here, I grew up watching all of Eddie Murphy's films. After Mr. Church, I don't think I even care to watch any of his previous work. I think I can still watch the first Beverly Hills Cop - he almost acts like a younger Mr. Church in that one, I think - but the rest, I already forgot.
It's Mr. Church, then Beverly Hills Cop. Murphy didn't do anything else as good. I hope his future movies follow the Church style. He'll be the biggest star in Hollywood again if he pursues this line, I think :)
