I think it is rubbish. You point out many reasons why it is. He is, as you said, "looney".

This is pure sensationalism, and spreading fear.
He really REACHES to make things fit.
He sells plenty of books though, and people are ignorant enough to support him.

How did Israel win the Six-Day War?

Why did majority in numbers and military might Arab Armies become paralyzed with fear upon facing the Israelis Defense Force?

How did bombs and shells not explode or miss their targets so many times during the six day war?

How did Israel reform after 2000 years of the Jewish people being scattered across the Earth and STILL retaining their languages as if they had always been together?

How does Israel continue to survive today when nearly every single nation in the world hates it?

How does the Lunar Tetrad tend to occur on extremely significant events in Jewish history?
