Is what Nat Turner's followers did. Totally glossed over. Can you cite me some examples of the KKK doing that?

Why is Nat Turner rebellion of 1831 being compared to a terrorist organization created AFTER slavery was abolished?

If you are trolling, ok..I'll just pt you on ignore. If you are not trolling, what is your response?

In 1831, before then and after then....Black men, women AND children were killed by slavers throughout the South. Wouldn't a better comparison be made to the routine brutality and violence that enslaved people faced EVERYDAY?

I was pretty bummed by the movie. It would have been way better if instead of the whole 'revenge for raping his wife' thing, they went with history and had him straight lose his mind thinking he was talking to God. Doesn't make the story any less compelling. Nat Turner is a super complicated character in history.

As far as I can tell the film didn't indicate that they didn't kill women and children. They just didn't show it happening.
