Season 3 now playing on NetFlix ...

I am not even half-way through the first episode and it just feels like they are ruining it. The first season was just brilliant, so spooky and unique, and really well acted. The second still was good, but they lost the mystery by trying to explain too much or get to clever. This third season just seems like they are trading on the other two. I don't know if I will make it to the end of season 3.

Yeah, I sort of am feeling the same way.

I absolutely loved season 1, really liked season 2, and couldn't wait for season 3. It's very different than the other two seasons to say the least. I'm halfway through episode 2 and I'm feeling that it's getting just a little better. I want to give it a chance, especially since this is the final season and (hopefully) there will at least be some sort of closure.

After season 2 I knew it was never going to get better. It is sad to see something that had an indescribable something that was really good just go down the gutter like that.

I did not pay that much attention to where this story came from, or whether the writers were the same throughout every season. Somehow they hit on something and kept it mysterious in Season 1, but when they go and try to explain it or make it understandable they just lose it.

I just end up watching it for that incredibly cute blonde girl. ;-)

I understand 100%. I felt that way about the OA. The first season was so incredible to me, I just loved it. The second season was so totally different, almost like it wasn't even the same show!

It can really be a let down. I don't know why writers don't get that.

They understand the basic mechanics of how to create an atmosphere and a fictional world, and tension and suspense, but actually telling a story is forbidden any more, because there is no moral or intellectual component to TV or Movies these days.

Well, I just binge watched the rest of season 3 and I must say I ended up really enjoying it! I don't know why they threw in the two additional characters, they really didn't add much to the story. Once I got through the first two episodes which were so different from the previous two seasons and got over my annoyance of the introduction of the two new characters, I did really enjoy it.

I won't go into detail in case you haven't seen the ending yet but I will say it gets very emotional.

I also have to say that I've never liked a character as much as I liked Chris. He was the most genuinely caring and unselfish person I've ever seen in a show!

I finished it this morning. I have to say I don't care for how it got there, but I ended up approving of the ending, sad as it was.

Chris started out as kind of goof-ball, but he transformed into a decent guy.

The good thing about this show is that it was full of interesting characters. The problem with the last season though is that it make no real sense. I didn't like how they kind of killed James off, and then explained how those deaths were because those were people close to the resurrected ones.

The ending was reminiscent of the finale of LOST I thought. The whole thing though was never really explained and seemed, especially in the last season kind of ridiculous.

Saying all these people had lived, was also kind of a weird morality, or idea of rightness.

Anyway, now that it is over, I thought the way it was wrapped up was good.

I also enjoyed season 3 and the way it ended.

Have to disagree the ending ranked right up there with the old movies where a person woke up from a dream. I was fine with the way they came back from the dead but the consequences of it were just stupid.

I think a strong part of the show was bringing in people from a bunch of Australias historical eras
And with S2 ending on them trying to revive people again, it gave them a chance to drag in footnotes of the Chinese goldrush, and the religious nut communes
