Having not seen the movie yet, I was wanting to know if it really is as bad as people are making out?
On another note, at least from a financial viewpoint, it seems to have been a success. According to the information given here, it cost 900000$ to make, and has taken 9.093.856$ as of the 10th of June, meaning it has earned 10 times what it cost to make, not many films manage that.
It's not all that bad...it's not great either.
There were a few great scenes - particularly the ones with Mike Tyson & Charlie Murphy - but a lot of the jokes just don't work since the humor is out of context. All white people are inherently evil and racist since the film is overly reliant on segregation era racist humor which would have been more fitting as a parody a century ago than today.
My main problem was the audio editing as in some scenes not all dialogue could be heard clearly as if a sound guy occasionally dropped a boom mic.
I really didn't understand the Friday the 13th integration either. They made a single reference to Jason Voorhees and because of it felt the need to bring Jason into the mix although it wasn't appropriate for the story or the tone of the film.

Most segregation ended in the 50's but tbh there is still some segregation today. It is self inflicted but it still exists. For instance, there are neighborhoods that are black or white or Asian or Hispanic and so on. Same with churches. But yes, for the most part segregation ended 60 years ago give or take.

There's worse movies out there. Most of the ideas don't work, but the cast is having fun and once in a while a joke lands. Not the best or worst, worth a one time watch.
shareits terrible. I bailed out after 10 minutes and I'm a fan of the actors so that says a lot. all that talent wasted. its looks like a long vine clip that never ends. the director has no skills
