When it got close to the end of the movie, my little one and i thought that the light that was shining in his staff would become broken and he would turn into a fairy. Kind of like in beauty and the beast.
It was still an awesome movie though! I don' know why people are putting it down so much. My kids loved it!
My kids liked it too. I didn't think it was bad. It had its problems, but it was no worse than the average cartoon so I'm not sure where all the hate is coming from either. The gem or whatever it was in the staff did seem like something that would have some significance, but it never did.

so basically your lesson to the little one is that ugly people have to become magically beautiful if they wish to get love?
yeah..... you need someone less bias and vain to teach your young one about life then
also as soon as she saw roland kissing that other fairy i knew where the story was going and that it was supposed to be a story about getting your heart broken and falling in love with the right person and that looks don't matter
I almost thought that something like that would happen as well, but I'm just as glad it didn't.
