Why is it only 20+ minutes??

I mean come one this is one of a kind comedy TV series. Wilfred at least got 45+ minutes. Is it because the productions cost? is the ratings really low?

because its a 30 minute show with commercials. an hour long show would be a bit much

Wilfred was only 21-24 minutes an episode, same as this
