Since when are Gorilla's monkeys?

Seriously I know this is suppose to be a kids movie... But calling the giant Gorilla a monkey several times in 5 minutes is bloody ridiculous.

Gorilla's are Great-Apes... not monkeys. Both are primates, but apes are not monkeys and monkeys are not apes.

Who came up with that fail? A creationist?

1 star for failing to teach kids something usefull.

Maybe the writers played fast and loose for a kids cartoon.
