shareUnfortunately these stereotypes are very real and common in this region, as the interviews with the real people showed. They are so common that I almost didn't even want to watch the movie when it started with the interview clips. I see and hear that everyday.
shareI grew up in Tennessee, lived in Alabama, NC, Louisiana, and now Florida. I think I can separate reality from media stereotypes just fine by now.
