TRUTH

Office for Civil Rights ( OCR ) “strongly discourages” schools from letting parties cross-examine each other, prohibits schools from letting accused students appeal unless their accusers get the same right, and even allows schools to make the same person the “fact-finder” and the “decision-maker” – all of which contradict “essential protections [that] defendants in a court of law enjoy”:

OCR’s silence on important due process considerations, coupled with the requirement of a lower standard of proof, indisputably tips the playing field against the accused, making the disciplinary process anything but “equitable.”

This whole campus "rape culture" hysteria is bound to crest and recede eventually. As with other previous moral panics, its only a matter of time before cooler, saner heads prevail.

Don't count on it. Family court's concern to protect "abused moms from abusive dad" has made it easy for wives to make false accusations to hold kids hostage for extortion. Not only did its 4-decade long politics not get corrected after creating a society where almost a quarter of kids now grow up fatherless, that broken system is only getting worse.

I think what you're pointing to there is actually institutional inertia brought on by all those gender studies morons ending up getting jobs in places like family courts. Those college feminists have to go somewhere after graduation after all. You are of course absolutely right, family courts are horrifyingly biased but I do think the wider culture is starting to loose patience with all this feminist misandry. As the public consciousness swings more toward our side it will be easier to push through the reforms needed to fix the family court system as well as colleges and other places where feminist ideology has taken root.

I really, really want to share your optimism, but it's only getting worse:

The general public is atrociously disinformed ( note that I didn't say misinformed ) in the reality of what's actually going on.
