Double prairie dog hit from 315 yards (laser measured and stepped off) with a custom made .223 bolt gun -- in a 26 mph cross wind. Took me three shots just to dope that Kansas prairie wind.

Note for the uninformed: Prairie dogs are horrible vermin (cute rats) that carry various diseases including the plague and destroy valuable pasture land with their huge cities of mounds. They also attract rattlesnakes and their holes are hazardous to cattle, horses and people. Plus, if shooters don't kill enough of them off, the farmers and ranchers pump cyanide into their holes.

Me...about 650 yards on a woodchuck in the late 1970s. I think it was a 30-06, but I'm not sure. It was my friend's rifle.
