I hope people won't be put off by this fake votes

I haven't seen the movie yet, but it's clear to me that most of the 1's given to this movie are from one or a handful people with multiple accounts. Alone the fact, that the sole review of this movie (which gave a 1 star rating) has 129 helpful/unhelpful votes, of which 113 are helpful shows that something's not right. It's very unnatural for a movie that has only 175 votes, to have 129 helpful/unhelpful votes for a review. Which means that's the work of one or a few people (obviously, the author of that review has to be one of them, if he/she isn't the only one).
As to why he/she did that. It could be, because he/she got fired working for Office Kitano (he/she wrote that on his/her review), and is doing this as revenge.
So as mentioned, I hope people won't get distracted by the low rating and won't think that people don't like this movie.

Saw the film this evening and it slayed the audience, everyone applauded at the end. I think you're right, looks like the work of a disgruntled ex-employee. IMDb need better counter-measures.

I also noticed that Kiyoshi Kurosawa's 'Journey to the Shore' has a rating of one due to just under a third of the votes being one star ratings, despite being pretty well received by everyone I spoke to.

Yeah when I read that review, it was also clear to me that this person doesn't understand how to write a review on a movie either. So the helpful votes are quite fishy.

I didn't really like the movie either but not to that extent. I mean you have to find some points to follow along on the movie and not what you think of the person who made the movie and it's cultural references.. Sometimes I wish the reviews would have better moderation done on them.

-Are you strong?

I've just seen it in London, packed house, part of the BFI festival - this audience loved it and applauded vigorously at the end. I loved it myself - Kitano at his lightest and most fun, a loving send-up of the old yakuza genre.

I agree saw it at the festival too. Very funny. Packed audience belly laughed through out. definitely not a 4.8 out of 10 film.

Hey, Liadtella, you going to any more in the festival? I've booked nearly all the Japanese ones and several of the others. Marnie today :)

I was there too, loved the film. 9/10 for me.

yeah, I love this movie because its so funny, it deserve rating around 6.5 to 7.5 I guess, not Kitano masterpiece but the popular everyday joke of him. Highly recommended! This yakuza parody!!!
