Since this show deviates from the MCU I can't be the only one disappointed they stuck with the seriously depowered version of the Collector shown in the movie. The Collector is one of the Elders of the Universe and even without all of his gadgets has telepathic, size-altering abilities, incredible strength and the ability to wield cosmic energy. Things like this always make me sad and further make me realize just how much they're going to kittenfy the Gauntlet version of Thanos and characters like Galactus should Marvel ever manage to get their hands back on the rights (Fox already turned him into a cloud that got one-shot by Surfer).

I like the Collector the way he is. Makes him all the more disturbing, being able to get all that without any powers.

I actually thought the Collector in this to be a VAST improvement on the epic fail of del toro's Collector, one of the few distractions in a practically perfect film! this Collector is more villainous and demonized, more devious and more of an actual challenge for the guardians. del toro's Collector may as well have been selling junk in a trailer park perpetual yard sale, for all his danger level.
