Maybe as a Prequel

I just watched, and felt it was well done. You could take it as a prequel and that the Predators decide that this Time Period is too easy and they decide to go to Earth's future for a more competitive people. I still thought it was well done as a short, it would have been difficult to make it full feature movie.
