Plenty of money? They sold it for $38,000. They paid $6,000 for the car and spent another $21,000 for restoration. So they made a $11,000 profit, divided by 4 (or is it 5 people?) ... they didn't make that much money at all considering that they probably spent a month or two working on it. And after they paid expenses (garage rental and other bills), I'm surprised that they made any money at all.
Scott was 100% right. Guys were working hard, but not smart. Instead of buying a car for $6,000 and spending $21,000 in restoration, they should've spent $21,000 for car and $6,000 in restoration - they would've made the same profit, but they would've worked on the car for a week or two instead of month or two.
