Scot and Austin quitting

What a bunch of bitches. His line 'I know what it takes to make money on a car and this won't make any' or something like that and they quit all butt hurt. Well it turns out they made plenty of money. They just didn't want to do hard work.

reply

at least they know how to build a whole car.

Plenty of money? They sold it for $38,000. They paid $6,000 for the car and spent another $21,000 for restoration. So they made a $11,000 profit, divided by 4 (or is it 5 people?) ... they didn't make that much money at all considering that they probably spent a month or two working on it. And after they paid expenses (garage rental and other bills), I'm surprised that they made any money at all.

Scott was 100% right. Guys were working hard, but not smart. Instead of buying a car for $6,000 and spending $21,000 in restoration, they should've spent $21,000 for car and $6,000 in restoration - they would've made the same profit, but they would've worked on the car for a week or two instead of month or two.

Considering they made an interesting episode they made tv money on top of that. Scot can go back to SnotRod Garage. That's twice he's quit in the middle of a build cause the work got a little tough. He's a little bitch.

Middle of the build? He quit as soon as he saw the car; they didn't even start working on it.

Some people just don't wanna work on rust buckets. Especially since it takes months to finish them and the profit is minimal (probably less than a minimum wage). In this case the show probably pays for most of expenses, but in real life they would quickly be out of business.

If it was a non-reality TV shop, they would either charge way more, or not even accept a rust bucket project.
A local shop had a Nomad wagon that was having $25k+ in chrome work alone. $100k is nothing for a complete resto build.

I am just sick of bad acting, ridiculous scripts and manufactured drama!
