Pleasantly Surprised (Spoilers Throughout)

A pretty good popcorn flick. Got some good jumps with a feasible storyline. Some beautiful scenery, too. Is that Australia? I didn't know there were forests there. Also, the guy looks JUST like Sean Bean.

**Spoiler Alert**

They already killed the cop. When his supervisors don't hear from him, they will send someone out to check on him. So, go hide in the bathroom for two hours lol. I think this movie was good for me because I don't particularly like dogs and it was extra suspenseful, as we have a wild dog problem here in rural Alabama. People fight pit bulls and they get loose. Bad stuff. But, we also have a surplus of rifles and ammunition and we never venture out into the woods unarmed. My AR-15 with the 30-round mag would have come in handy for Sean Bean's brother.

This movie had some unique shots that I think need to be recognized. Usually on the setup scene you view the house from a distance on the stormy night... but here you can see the dogs walking around and it's like "oh *beep* there's one!!!" You just don't usually see the villain or the monster or whatever on those shots. Also, the dogs creepily walking around the house was a nice touch. What the hell was the mom thinking stalking the dog? Anyways, sorry for the rambling. A good flick all around. Some good jumps and some creepy stuff that will have me looking over my shoulder next time I'm out in the woods. Job well done on what I'm sure was a limited budget.
