Wow, what a terrible ending

I thought this was a good movie to watch while I was bored on my day off but then the ending took a watery, prune-induced poo on my face.

I'm a big fan of their leisurly group hugged stride to the house.

"Sun's up, kids. They won't be back because dogs explode when exposed to sunlight. Climb off the only secure location on the farm to congratulate your mother's brilliant idea to hide from a dog by crawling under a car.

I'm sure the city will eventually find and hire a new police officer and send him our way."

DAUGHTER- "But dad, don't you want us to go get the phone from the house?"

MOM- "What are you, stupid? Don't you remember when that first dog tried to get into the house? The phone was so surprised by the gun shot, it tapped into a phone's natural instincts and killed itself."

SON- "Don't you guys want to know why I was stealing bullets and hiding them in the above ground tunnel/maze?"

EVERYONE- "Nope!"

reply

LMAO Brilliant!

Kinda stupid ending but i think they probably come out at night mostly.

What was with the hiding bullets? The dad did give him a wierd look.

Wolves and wild dogs hunt during the day or during dusk and dawn - they don't have great eyesight in the dark. So the whole "yay! sunlight - let's skip off together into our ruined house!" was a little silly. I was secretly glad their dog (Ollie?) made it:D But I think one of the family members should have died, or at least looked traumatized.

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

I want to know where the pet dog was the whole time. hiding?

I believe that dog was the only one with any common sense - he bunkered down and hid somewhere in the woods, instead of repeatedly antagonizing a group of bloodthirsty predators by stalking around with a kitchen knife, standing near broken windows, opening doors that are better left closed, loudly running for a car, and attempting to shield himself in a flimsy wooden pantry.
